HKC LONG ISLAND
Welcoming 1400 campers each day
Established in 1959, HKC Long Island is the newest and largest of the three HKC sites. With 325 acres, the expansive grounds are a mix of wide-open spaces filled with multi-use and athletic fields and woodsy, rustic areas. Serving more than 1300 campers combined each day, the four camps who call the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds home, each has a designated area to call its own, where it is has created its own unique program and camp culture.
In 2016, UJA-Federation of New York, who owns the property, embarked on a $35 million capital campaign to bring HKC into the 21st century. Today, HKC Long Island has new home bases, rebuilt sports courts and athletic fields and the brand new Steven John Conrad Aquatic Complex in Upper Camp.
