| Established in 1959, the Alice N. Proskauer Camp encompasses over 350 acres of wooded land, open meadows and rolling hills. Designed by the modernist architect Edward Larrabee Barnes, the site caters to over 2500 children from Queens, Nassau and Suffolk Counties.
It boasts the Sandra and Frederick P. Rose Ecology and Nature Center where children are taught about the camp ecosystem and environmental and green issues under the direction of Teva; the Pat and the John Rosenwald Swim Complex consisting of four beautiful swimming pools and multiple changing rooms; and the Blum Baseball Field. With versatile, multi-use fields, engaging playgrounds, appealing hiking trails, gaga pits, sand volleyball, and more, the grounds provide the backdrop for each of the six agencies unique summer camp experience. It also proudly hosts Sunrise Day Camp, a camp devoted to children with cancer. Click here to see a list of agencies with camps at the Alice N. Proskauer Day Camp. |
