“If I had a flower for every time you made me smile and laugh I’d have a garden to walk in forever.”
This quote makes me reflect on the vocational jobs we complete every week with our team. If I truly had a flower for each time our HKC workers enthusiastically asked what they can do next, I would have OVER a million gardens that I would ask them to help me water!
From painting picnic tables and washing golf carts to planting and landscaping, our campers were very busy this week! We actually went OVER our work time to make sure we accomplished the tasks! Each of the workers this week expressed enthusiasm and pride with the jobs they completed.
Once again this was a HOT week, but look what we ACCOMPLISHED!
We also had some fun working on completing our beautification project at the front of the Administration Building by adding our gorgeous yellow and red flowers! We learned how to use different gardening tools and materials for landscaping. HKC workers also used individual mini shovels to delicately re-plant flowers in the gardens and new flower pots.
