Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds held its annual A Night at Citi Field on May 20th, where 85 people gathered in the Owner’s Suite to benefit the Campgrounds and the thousands of campers who use its facility each summer!
The evening began with a presentation of awards and a program highlighting the importance of camp to all kids and benefits it has in their growth and development. When asked who attended camp as a kid, nearly everyone in the room raised their hands.
|Jeff Solomon, Pearl River Site Vice-President, opened the program, sharing his own experiences with camp and highlighted the role the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds plays in the lives of thousands of families. He then introduced the guest speaker, Dan Gerstman.Dan and his wife Pam are the founders of the Lisa Beth Gerstman Foundation, an organization that grants scholarships to children with physical and cognitive disabilities to enable them to attend camp.|
|Lenny Krayzelburg, Olympic Gold Medalist and founder of the Lenny Krayzelburg Swim Academy received the HKC Make a Difference Award, presented by Kyle Solomon, Long Island Site Vice-President.Len Berman, award winning sportscaster and best-selling author received the HKC Sports Leader Award, presented by Eric Margules, HKC Board member.After everyone was invited to come to camp this summer we all headed to the plush Owner’s Suites for dinner, drinks and of course, a ball game.|
