On September 11th, 80 young professional came together in a private suite at Citi Field to support the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds and cheer on the Mets.
The majority of Friends had attended camp themselves so they know the important role camp plays in a child’s life.
We had burgers and shakes from Shake Shack, ribs from Blue Smoke, hot dogs from Nathans and a vast array of other delicious foods, as well as a great selection of wine, beer and soda. All in all, it was a great night for the Friends of HKC.
After a visit from Mr. & Mrs. Met, the group gathered to hear some remarks from the Friends of HKC Committee, our Guest Speaker David Black, Executive Director of the Sid Jacobson JCC, and our CEO, Lenny Silberman. The message was clear – HKC plays a vital role in ensuring kids from all backgrounds can have an amazing summer experience – but we need this generation to support HKC and the agencies so that they will be able to continue to provide the experiences we do for generations to come.
